My Name Was Nicorates Poem by Clive Culverhouse

My Name Was Nicorates

Rating: 5.0

a true story of meditation
and a tear between dimensions

as purple vibrated
her voice cut through the air
her voice cut through time

"Espera, Nicorates! "
she screamed
"Espera, Nicorates! "
she pleaded urgently

sensing my name was Nicorates
I did as she commanded
and I waited
but nothing else came through

This is great! I really don't know why I liked it so much, but I chuckled at the end for some reason. Maybe it had something to do with your use of the Spanish word " Espera" (wait) . I guess it was actually the line " Sensing my name was Nicorates" . As if the narrator didn't know what his own name was...

yes, I was meditating and from somewhere a voice shouted Espera Nicorates, I was alone and this voice was right next to me! ! I had the distinct feeling the woman was shouting to me for some bizarre reason
