My Only Love - Poem by Michael P. McParland
You are the only one I'll ever love
in that special way that is in the soul,
you will always be the only one
I will give myself away to in full.
No other will ever see my entire world,
I'll only ever give that key to you.
You are my only love and I so badly want
to share all time with you.
I want to have your hand and give you mine
as the most loving man and wife.
You are my only love and I give my heart to you,
I just want to hold you close and know
what it's like to be loved like that
and feel complete and total peace.
I feel your love here right now
but I've never shared a relationship
and I so long to be with you here to share,
you are my only love and only you will do
my sweet precious Angel dove.
You will always be my only love
because you are a true gift from God,
I am so in awe and filled with love for you
it overflows and I at times get overwhelmed.
I just want to have you here to
hold so close and kiss at those times.
You are my only love in that special way
and we share the most special bond.
You are the only one to whom my heart belongs
and you make me feel safe and that's
more important than you can know.
You give me peace and calm my racing mind
that the bipolar gives to me.
You are my only one so very special because you're kind
and I want you to know I'll love you
through eternity because you are my only one
so very true in every wonderful thing there is.
