My Path - Poem by Edward Hammer

I walked my path of life
What was it all about
I only wanted Lauren
But now I am without

It seems to harsh an ending
To shock my world like this
Still not comprehending
I fell in this abyss

Every day I try to climb
To pull myself up out
I pray for help each time
As loud as I can shout

I know He hears my cries
I feel His gentle hand
I sometimes see blue skies
And hope I understand

I feel I'm being guided
My futures still on hold
I hope what He's provided
Will very soon unfold

Very insightful Edward. I think things happen for a reason even though we don't understand what that reason may be. Good luck. Sincerely, Mary (Report) Reply
