My Sleeping Beauty - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Now as the day begins I approach my sleeping beauty.
Before I do anything though I stop and admire
what a truly charming beauty she really is.
Then before I lean in completely to
kiss my gorgeous girl I say I love you babe
you truly are my soul mate and only one.
You are my sleeping beauty, gorgeous Angel, and beast friend.
Then with the lightest kisses I kiss her cheeks,
her forehead and her hands,
then to wake my sleeping beauty from above
I kiss her on the lips so passionately
until she opens her eyes and smiles.
Then I pull her in so close to snuggle for a little bit
and say I love you babe,
you are my sleeping beauty and I'm glad I'm waking next to you.
You are my gorgeous girl, my adored Angel and precious Queen,
you are my sweet darling Kira and that means everything to me.
You are my sleeping beauty and now let's snuggle for awhile,
we'll share some sweet kisses
and some smiles to start this day off right.
I love you babe you are the best, you are my everything,
I love you Kira my sleeping beauty
and I want to have you right next to me always and forever.
