My Sweet Lady 2 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
My sweet lady oh so very beautiful and fair
how I long to have you here in my arms tonight
as I lay here in a restless sleep so lonely without
you in my arms to look at and smile saying I love you
my darling one and cherish you to no end.
Then with a kiss you would rest your head upon my chest
and I would read and sing to you as we fell asleep.
I so long for you my sweet fair Angel from above.
My sweet lady whom I so adore I wish you were here
to snuggle and I could tell you how much I adore the
wonderful heavenly person you truly are,
to celebrate my Queen while holding and kissing you
after every poem I read and song I sing to you my one.
I would only ever sing for you and hope you'd want
and like me too.
These are the beautiful things I dream of doing for you
my sweet lady of so rare and truly fair.
I treasure and cherish you in the greatest ways.
Kira my sweet lady and most beautiful Angel high above the rest,
I would give everything to have you here cuddling in bed.
I might end up crying when you are finally here,
not in any sorrow but from cheer and
relief that you are in my arms here to stay forevermore.
I'll tell you everything and how I've missed your bright soul,
your loving heart and sweet voice that perks me up.
My sweet lady you are all my greatest dreams and hopes.
I love you deeply and am holding you in spirit,
I so wish you were here though to pull in tighter
so I could whisper in your ear that you are the greatest
and for eternity I will be here at your service.
That I truly love you with all my very heart and spirit
and can feel the love you have for me and thank you.
