Nature's Call Poem by Prabhakar Subramaniam

Nature's Call

No one loves the night
More than us
Hates moonlight
More than us
Wants day to hasten
Down the horizon
Not tarry with his twilight
Loves darkness more
The flight of light
The flocking of shadows
The absence of feet
Of male voices
The effacing of faces
Behind the velikathan
When the unburdening
Can happen finally
