Nearer They Go To The Land Of Conquest Poem by Kevin Familia

Nearer They Go To The Land Of Conquest

Nearer they go to the land of conquest
They move fast as motorized vehicles, with one route, to tempest.
Filled with determination they wage war, the saints.
With a common enemy that is the vast confusion.

The armies admire them for their bravery and unions.
They show light amidst the horrors of selfish ambitions.
They crushed tyranny and broke the richest of possessions.
You ask who they are in this vast habitation?

They are the warriors in Christ with his love as their way in life.
Outwardly they are weak but inside their motivation never dies.
They say "Out with discord, confusion, hatred, lies, but sing praises".
Everywhere they go there is love at the center, showing good works.
They don't live in misery or despair instead they live in the action of devotion.

For they are at war with, unjustly, principalities.
Of which are filled with corruption of darkness.
Their sayings are full of humility, helping the lost.
Their proclamation is the word and one faith.
A faith like a line that goes in continuation.

Their light is with the goal of winning for their savior.
On which they look to for reproof, guidance like a sailor.
That knows the compass, as the saints are with the word.
Faith, testimony, kindness, and thoughtfulness are their arsenal.
Therefor, are the weapons that help them win over the peoples of the land.

For victory and security they all find in the redeemer.
Blessing and a selfless spirit outpours from their new character.
Hence goes the saints, triumphing over the evils that plague the unbeliever.
In earnest prayer they seek the holy spirit to transform those lost.
For this is the truth, the saint's conquest is that of an odyssey.
