Need Or Love: A Heart's Dilemma Poem by Lalit Vivekanand Kamble

Need Or Love: A Heart's Dilemma

Need or Love: A Heart's Dilemma

Two paths diverge within my soul,
Need and love, a conflicting role.
One cries out for comfort and care,
The other yearns for love beyond compare.

Need's urgent voice demands attention,
A craving that cannot relent.
It seeks solace, security's hold,
A refuge from life's uncertain cold.

Love's gentle whisper speaks of dreams,
Of connection, hearts that beam.
It nurtures growth, sets souls free,
A bond that's strong, yet delicate as sea.

But what if need's insistent call,
Masquerades as love's tender fall?
Does my heart seek shelter or true love?
Or merely a temporary reprieve?

My 2nd Favourite, in your eyes I see,
A love that heals, sets me free.
Yet, is it need that draws me near,
Or love's pure flame, dispelling fear?

Perhaps the line between the two,
Blurs in the heart, anew.
For in your love, I find my peace,
A need fulfilled, my soul's release.
