Autumn leaves come tumbling down
Same as my tears
Falling to the ground
Released unfettered

As I start a new semester in college and new stage of my life this poem was captivating from the start. Your used of words as a paint brush creates amazing art pieces.

Beautiful poem, so full of imagery, a well painted picture I could actually see it happening. That's what poetry is about, the emotions, the senses (see, touch, taste, smell) you brought it all out. I love it

Every time I read one of your poems I am touched by the sensitivity and loveliness of your words. I love the sadness but also the note of hope with which you end your poem.

Life and seasons are victims of a cycle, tears after smile and smile after tears and sometimes tears joy in excitement, all are parts of life. A nice write.

I have read three more of your poems and I like them all. Dream Within a Dream is great fun. In New Beginning the words released, unfettered and unbound are perhaps a little too similar in meaning to be placed so close together, but the comparison between tears and falling leaves is original. Love without Sex is my favourite however, because it is expressed in a beautifully natural, conversational, relaxed way. I would be grateful if you could comment on one or two of my recent poems as I have had no feedback about them yet.

And as they fall, and die, they will become the strength of the future, the fuel of sustenance, meaning; or just mulch. If you cry leaves, you are a legacy that must suffer to be fulfilled. (I tried rating, but can't keep my mouth shut, so to speak) . Not to argue other comments, but, I don't believe in metaphors as a disclaimer to my ramblings & rants.

great writing - I enjoyed every line. We all dream at times for new beginnings. Loved the metaphors.

This poem is written like a piece of music with two melodies - one is autumn leaves, the other is the speaker's tears - and the music they make is bittersweet. And necessary. Because autumn is large enough to contain all the sorrows of all the people, and the tears are abundant enough to fill the whole season. But then - a third theme, just a few notes, that mark the renewal of SPRING - and the dying things and the sad tears vanish... Wonderful Poem!
