Night Note 44 - Poem by Michael P. McParland

Middle of the night and
I'm trying to stay busy
and keep the anxiety down.
Better though I'm thinking
of you and it's making me smile.
I miss you so much and
am worried for how you
are and how you feel.
I know I haven't done as much
the past few days and
I apologize I hope you're
not upset.
Making you happy and proud
is my biggest goal and
greatest joy,
making you smile is the greatest reward.
Seeing you happy is worth
more than all the earths gold.

I'm missing you so very much,
and I'm still on the verge of
not feeling well.
I so wish you were here
to comfort each other.
So I could kiss you and
tell you everything is alright
have not a single worry,
for I'm right here and never leaving,
I'll be here forever my sweet lady.

Feel me there with right now
as you read,
feel my arms around you and
my hand in yours tightly clutched,
so you'll know you're not alone
and you never will.
I love you so much and can't
wait to be in your arms and cast
off this lonely dead weight.
By your side be fulfilled at last,
holding my lady forever in time.
