Night Sky - Poem by Tony Hernandez

rain drops hit the tin roof
telling me its time to move
wet soggy ground
muddy shoe print
leads me to
wondering where it all went
puddels form under the grass
sitting back
i take it all in
watching the moon drift off to sleep
wishing i could join my friend
in that sweet relese
clouds race by
and pass along the night sky
leaving behind their tears
a cold reminder that they were here
the streets glimer
from a thin layer or sorrow
as the lamps from above
slowy die out
welcoming in the new tomorow
