Nightmares And Dreams Poem by Soren Valentine

Nightmares And Dreams

There was a boy,
he was so young,
his life was a toy,
on a pole it hung.

He was captured,
captured by shadows,
peace has been ruptured,
chased through the barrows.

Pleading for an end,
an end to this nightmare,
these dreams do blend,
nightmares and dreams are now there.

Tell him, Tell him,
Why does this soul now fade?
Over him, Over him,
These nightmares and dreams have stayed.
Covering him, Covering him,
Death's wings are spread afar.
Killing him, Killing him,
What is hated is of him a part.

Wolves of fire
spelling his doom.
An escort he's acquired,
To a city of tombs.

This world is killing him!
This life feels so empty!
His Light has become so dim!
'Death now tempts me.'

Why is he so sad?
Stuck in a quagmire.
He's never been so glad.
Darkness has made it's empire.

He's so numb inside...
He's can't say goodbye!
His heart has fled...
His emotions are dead!

They've blended, the Twain.
Like zombies they eat him.
Till his flesh seems feigned.
The Boundary is slim.

These Dreams have won.

*thunderous applause* I have no idea what this could be about but I feel moved in an unnatural manner by this poem
