. Nit Picker Perjury Poem by Mary Havran

. Nit Picker Perjury

Rating: 3.5

A bow snatched from her hair
Ensures smiles they won’t share
The way he pronounces
Words she denounces
Only paves the way
For more harsh words they say

The cut of his clothes
The bump in her nose
The choices they make
Mark the paths they will take

The way he sips coffee
Is not her cup of tea
‘My way or the highway’
Leaves little incentive to stay

Each little nit picking bit
Either one makes mention of
Stands to forfeit
Any case alleging love
Partners who chose to sit
As each other’s judge and jury
Eventually must deal with
Consequences of
Nit picker perjury

Wouldn't it be nice if folks would just 'nit pick' the things that they like about someone instead of concentrating on the, usually insignificant, things they don't like. A fine write, Mary.....A 10.... Thanks Richard
