No Longer Needed - Poem by Becca Snead
You say you'll never leave me,
and I know you never will.
You tell me that you love me,
but with pain my heart does fill.
The lies you tell are small
I should never have found out;
but all good things must end
and now I know what you're about.
You thought I would cry,
and make myself depressed.
You told all your friends
that I was obsessed.
But take a look at me now;
no more tears will cross this face.
I stand proud of my past
and put you in your place.
You tried your best to hurt me,
and for a while you did succeed.
But I'm over you now;
it's no longer you I need.
