Nugatory - Poem by Greg Marker

Often I perpetuate,
the fantasies that I create.
Imagining who I would be,
If I in truth were never me.
There I lie awake at night,
contemplating every plight.
Little things that do perplex,
join and become quite complex.
Questions I don't care to hear,
answers that aren't even clear.
Problems I solved yesterday,
are robbing sleep from me today.
Honestly I don't believe,
any thing that I perceive.
Taking notes will do no good,
nothing will remain as should.
If life chooses to be unfair,
then of life I will not care.
