Number 2 Depression - Poem by Richard Allen Beevor

What is this need to live,
the desire or reason to survive,
we struggle with life
and suffer from it.

Let it come though it may hurt,
though it may sting the heart,
though it may fill us with hate,
let it come.

Gather your pain to you,
draw in agony and sorrow,
breathe the cold night air,
inhale loss and suffering.

Exhale?
Nevermore!
