Obsessions - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I'm trying
to understand
my obsessions

obsessed
with
being
obsessed

I find
it hard
to not
give myself
completely
to the things
that stimulate
my mind
then
there was you
the obsession
of my heart

I will never
love another
the way
I loved you
I can't
I barely survived you
and that
I survived
is still
debatable

I
will not
lose
my passion
over life
but
for some of
my obsessions
they will
draw me
back to you
this one

The
obsession
of my lost love
I wonder
why did you
have to be
so wonderful
but then
I wouldn't have
loved you
if
you were
anything less
than an
amazing original
