Off To Bed 2 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Off to bed I go with a heart
screaming in pain.
Tears again staining my pillow,
I am trying my best and don't know
what to do I'm confused and lost.
I just look at her picture and know
I'll never give up.
I just feel so broken inside and
I know the answer to fix it all,
I just don't know the equation
that gets me there.
Off to bed my heart
bursting with sorrow and fear
that she'll just disappear,
I'm going to just hide under the
covers and silently shed
these tears of lonely pain and fear.
Where no one can see me or hear,
off to bed where I'll just weep
until I drift away to sleep.
