Oh Holy Night! ! ! - Poem by Andy Brookes
Not such a silent Night,
the shepherds got into a fight.
poor old Mary in floods of tears,
the three wise men lost their beards.
the innkeeperhad to ad-lib,
while the Angel knocked over the crib.
the cows and sheep all did bleat
and the Star fell over his own feet.
Poor Joseph had forgot his lines,
though he'd rehearsed so many times.
Three Wisemen in silver and gold
but one kept sneezing, he had a cold.
Oh we laughed until we cried,
so very hard the children tried
such a glorious, messy activity,
my dear grandson's Nativity.
