Ointment Called Smile - Poem by Ajinkya Raut

Its been a long time
we have been wounded, by words, our own
But they say
wounds heal with time
and so I wait
Till it heals
till you apply
the ointment of your smile
which will soothe my pain.

Now, it has started again
to rain
and I go back in time,
time which heals
A time when we were together
and look now,
how it feels?
Without you,
the rains hurting me
bringing back the pain.
Do you feel the same?

I know, you feel the same
alone and wounded
All you have to do is
Turn back
and you'll find me
waiting for you
with ointment of smile.
