Old Car Prayer Poem by Nikola Neskovic

Old Car Prayer

Rating: 3.0

Common baby, please turn over
Just tonight
Promise I’ll make you tight
Change your oil filter, that broken tail light

Common baby, you know she’s waiting
Anticipating
Sweet loving to come her way

Don’t be jealous
She’s flesh and blood
Can’t take your spot in my heart
You take me places I’d never see
Provide for sweet pleasures
That comfort me

Common baby, you know she’s waiting
Anticipating
Sweet loving to come her way

In your seat I feel like a man
I feel like a man who still can
Fog up the windshield on the hot summer night
Make this screwed up world seem all right

Common baby, please turn over
Just tonight
Promise I’ll make you tight
Change your oil filter, that broken tail light

Common baby, you know she’s waiting
Anticipating
Sweet loving to come her way
