On A Mountain Cold And Bare - Poem by Yasmin Khodaie

On a mountain cold and bare,
There I sit, outwards I stare,
I stare at the world around,
And if you listen, you can hear every sound,
You can hear a desperate plead,
From the people who are in need,
You can hear the children that are crying,
Because their parents are dying,
You can hear the sound of people run,
With their air riffles and a Tommy gun,
You can hear them pierce through the air,
All from this mountain cold and bare,
