On The Edge Of Freedom - Poem by Allison Wesson

Soft, love, and gently do we stir
From this desolate, barren place
Do we ever learn?
Sometimes do we return to
The world of The Living
Rare and precious gems
Of time frozen in space
We strive for this thing
Called Normalcy
Have we known it?
Will we ever?
We stay distant and aloof
You demand that we do
They will hurt us
They will demolish all that we
Stand for
Now that I see the world
Through eyes not blurred by
Woeful tears
You are no longer needed
And I am free to the world's
Ill will and fortune
Love Life
