One Of A Kind - Poem by Greg Marker
This is for a girl that I barely knew,
and maybe one day she'll see it too.
Struck by her beauty as I tried not to stare,
riddled with interest by a lady so fair.
Scared to get close as my knees became weak,
regretfully silent as I failed to speak.
It was more of a bother with each new day,
as I was a coward with nothing to say.
Lost in her beauty with each little glance,
I cannot describe my awe stricken trance.
I've seen pretty women but she's one of a kind,
she's a bit of perfection I keep on my mind.
I'll never admit that I'd fallen in love,
with all the uncertainties hovering above.
Yet she was the one that I wanted to see,
as she often smiles when she looks at me.
Her beautiful smile makes everything fine,
I wish deeply inside for that girl to be mine.
