Open Your Eyes - Poem by Bella Ensil

im right here
waiting for you
i see you running
and wish i can pick up my own two feet.
awestruck and dazed
i cant seem to say the right words
and cant seem to do the right things
but i know you see through my imperfections

you see through this false wall i built
baby knock it down
becuase i want to see the other side.
is the grass really greener?

show me things near and dear to you.
touch my heart
be my guide.

you made me dependent on you
my crutch to lean on
i just wish it was the other way around.

dont leave me broken
i need you to pick up the pieces
put them together in a way you find most beautiful.

open your eyes, and see
ill be for you
since youve been for me.
because thats what it means to love
