Our Cherished Lus - Poem by seyi dekol
To be in love, in lust is this just?
To adjust or simply shush.
Before this unbecoming rush or crush
Crushes our clear or darkening lungs
And our elergy is sung
In church like an inspiring song.
If we got no guts.
To beseech our one true God.
Then forever would we lost
Forgotten and forgone
To mourn the loss
Of another excited fool
Who drowned in the pool
Of cherished passions and lust
But still assumed in death;
he was so much in love.
