Our Tree Poem by Sara Smith

Our Tree

Rating: 4.5

I walk in the streets alone.
Always alone.
I think back to a time that seems forever ago. I wasn't alone...
I was happy, I cant remember that feeling.
I can't breathe, not truly.
I am at our spot. My eyes sparkle with tears.
No. Not sparkle.
Sparkle can't be in my dictionary. Not when he doesn't have one. I gasp.
I fall to the ground. The tears roll down my face and hit the ground.
I get so mad and hit the tree. Our tree.
Where our memories are held forever.
I press my face to the cold hard ground and dream about us.
Wishing we could be together.
Its only a dream.
I pick up my bag and pull out what seems to be my only friend.

Then I make our dreams come true...

There is never anything more sad than a lost love. Though one can only hope that the end for those left does not cease so tragically.
