Outside And In - Poem by Nichole Hoehn

She whispers so slightly
Her secrets spill out
After one word, he knows what she’s about
After sharing her insides
Before she lets out her tears
He grabs a hold and brings her closer
So that he can vanish all fears
She speaks in shaky tone, her muscles tense up
As he tears off her shirt
Now she knows what he’s about
He waited until then,
So her trust can reach him
And her vulnerability can be more than shattered
She feels him get rough, she knows he is tough
He punctures her skin, she feels herself rip
Outside and in…
