Panacea - Poem by Erik Larson

two syllables, five letters

Jes us.

Save souls change minds

so that

the tears of small children
will stop falling on dirty floors
start landing on Daddie's shoulders
like they.........should..

to prove that truth is better
than looking cool
than sounding smart
than feeling good sometimes

to bring a sword down
on that old monster in the closet
guilt and death and pain insane

(over which)

His triumph will remain

and echoed truth sustained
