Pandora's Box Poem by Jack Turner

Pandora's Box

Rating: 4.5

You sit
just feet away
making out to be
unassuming,
casually pretending not to know
Allure, temptation,
drip from every finely sculpted pore.
Calling,
beckoning,
Eat me, drink me,
like designer clothes consume me.
A politician of the highest rank
Come share my bed of greed and lust
and Damn the Consequences!

Slowly
slowly
inch
by
inch
I peel back
the garments that pretend to cloak
your modesty,
your smooth, delicious skin.
I run my fingers cross your warming back, dreaming
Of power, sex,
Corruption, lust and greed
until you lie before me,
brown and naked
Symbol
of every sultry, saucy sin
that’s killing half the world

Oh Chocolate.
