Past Love - Poem by Adeline Marie
I see you again.
Memories flashing through my mind.
I grimace and smile.
And you're on my mind every once in a while.
All ending in heartbrakes.
Whether real or fake.
They were all true,
Where we didn't have to choose.
Things have changed now,
And I didn't have a clue.
That no matter what,
I would always come back running to you.
Hoping for a warm embrace,
Enough to last me for a day.
Hoping for a soft kiss,
Enough to make me scream in my mind, yay!
But these were past loves,
All cheat and lies,
To make you go crazy.
And they were past loves,
And you, my love,
You're all that I can see.
