Payback Poem by sophie mayes

Payback

Typical I thought
The way he sounded on the phone
His monotonous drone

Calm as I can be
Pleased with my words
Although they contradicted
The tangled mess that was inwards

Suprsied at the way
he didnt seem to care
I wonder if I gave off
That wonderfull distant air?

I shall never know
Still waiting for the cheque
And if it ever bounces
I'll stangle his flabby neck!
