Perhaps - Poem by Dhruv Dikshit

Perhaps someday,
You start colouring my world.
Perhaps that day you’d master it all,
And I’d need you to be with me.

Perhaps someday,
Your heart beats to the music I play.
Perhaps that day you close your eyes,
And you’d be with me.

Perhaps someday,
My presence makes all the relevance.
Perhaps that day you won’t pretend,
And you’d be with me.

Perhaps someday,
We watch the sun win o’er the moon.
Perhaps that day I’d finally win you o’er,
And you’d be with me.

Perhaps someday the flowers respond,
Glowing for love and dulling for grief.
Perhaps that day you’d pick the glowing one,
And you’d be with me.

Perhaps someday,
I won’t love you anymore.
Perhaps it’d be the same day when the world explodes,
And you couldn’t be with me.
