Playing Games - Poem by Diamond Jones

Splish splash
Ooh ooh wee
Flip flop
You will see
That’s not the way we play this game
No, that’s not the way we play

In the middle of the night I hear you creepin
Sound asleep you think I’m sleepin
Phone rings you don’t know I’m peekin
Deep inside I’m screamin
That’s not the way we play

Say you love me but you hurt me bad
Don’t hurt the ones you love, you make me so sad
Controlling my thoughts and feelings just a tad
Wait, I think I hear my dad
Sayin' that’s not the game we play

Splish splash
Ooh ooh wee
Flip flop
You will see
That’s not the way we play this game
No, that’s not the way we play

On your job with me you were slackin
So I’m leavin and I won’t turn back again
Save your lyin and cryin when you see me packin
That’s not the way we play
Shoulda thought when you were out there mackin
‘Cause that’s not the way we play
No, boy, that’s not the game we play
