Please The Crowd Poem by Majdoleen (Maggie) Sukayri

Please The Crowd

Pick and choose, those who enter your soul,
Pick and choose which doors to open!

Go out into the world,
Throw bits of your heart…
Just beware, not anyone will catch it.
Behold! They choose to deal with it however they wish.

You picked and chose, you gambled.
Misunderstood, they assumed you took and gave none.
Greed led them to wanting more doors opened.
They claimed you hid its key… never guiding them to it!

Trapped, you consider surrendering.
Conflicted, you reconsider.
Be selfish; take back what you gave…
Take back what has been broken.
Mend it as much as you can.
Move on!

No, rewind!

Open all doors!
Cram them all in.
Give them reason to repent.
You are not what they claim.
They are not what you perceive.

Allow them to recall, rejoice, and reminisce… and long for that small piece you once threw!
