Poem To Parents - Poem by Erin Ryan
We may grow fast,
We may grow slow.
But I will tell you this I know,
Although it may seem far away,
But it will soon be our wedding day.
I know we’re young and immature,
But it won’t last, this I’m sure.
I know it seems like yesterday,
That we were with our friends at play.
I know you wish that time was slower,
So life, at times, would be more clearer.
But do not worry, do not fret,
Here’s five dollars, I will bet
That you are awesome dads and mums,
You will love us one by one.
I hoped you liked this poem lots
Cause here is just one other thought,
I know it seems we’re always mad,
But deep inside we’re really glad
That you care so very much
It’s hard to release us from your clutch,
But soon the day will have to come,
That we ourselves will become,
A parent, hopefully just like you,
So we can see what you went through.
I know it’s really hard to do,
but it’s all worth it when you here,
I Love You.
