Prayer Of Solitude - Poem by Andrew Sutcliffe

God,
Make me a speck of light
One among the many
Lost and unnoticed
In the darkness of The Night

Mold my center with heat,
As the burning power of many suns
Reacting, changing, making light
Swirling, round the heart where ends meet

Compact that core into life
Sitting far from all
Lost in black
So only I hurt from my inner strife.
