Precious Memories - Poem by Ellie Corbin

Skater's legs with thick thighs for landing jumps
Thin, cool blades tracing lines in the ice
Artistry, beauty of expression, movement, style
Technicallity, consistency, edgy tricks
Flying through the air, defying gravity
Spinning with a balance, dizzy without notice
Notes floating, lush with creativity
Tiny figure of a girl, big eyes filled with life
Medals won in dreams
Slipping, falling, bruises on a body
Will to get up, move on, try again
Absolute grace
