Pride - Poem by Gordon Jerome

I appear before you an american today
And shall stand for the true american way
The freedoms for which this nation stands
From sea to sea and all across these lands
The rights for each the very truth to hear
And the right to speak it without any fear
Their right by election to make their choice
And in governing this nation add their voice
A right to worship who they wish to choose
These are freedoms they shall never loose
The right to bare arms to protect our land
And to protect all freedoms as best we can
As long as theres an american standing tall
With pride for this nation it shall never fall.
'closing thought'
Whether you're an american by your choice or by your birth
Stand tall with your pride in this greatest nation on earth
