Prisoner Of Self Poem by Rafael Cazares

Prisoner Of Self

In a tomb,
Installed with windows,
I looked upon the framed blue sky
To predict the oncoming Rain
Embracing my Pain
in which Optimisms weaknesses will be slain.

In mind at times, we may lie weak
for the False Idols that we must exploit,
Before they deploy their elusive tricks,
and beat us down with erudite sticks.

Learn your Self
Live your Self, and foremost,
Be your Self.
