Questions For An Angel - Poem by Denise Miller
The screen doesn't lie.
The truth doesn't hide.
I've lost her.
She traded in her youth for angel wings.
Why? My angel dear, why?
Did you wish to touch the stars?
Or were you really in pain?
Did you not want it to happen?
Did you want to rewind and erase?
Erase the thought and action.
Did you want comfort and you chose it to be in the arms of the angels?
The angels who you now belong to.
You meant so much; did you know this?
Did you know that many loved you, some more deep than others?
Did you think about them and tell them you loved them?
Did you really do it or are you still here?
But I know, I know your an angel.
I can feel your wings around me when I sleep and when I cry.
But please tell me..
What was your source of pain?
Why did you step off?
