Well, I just heard the thunder roar,
But I did not see the lightning;
Looking up to darkened clouds.
The bitter wind is biting.

A smile spreads across my lips
For what others find as frightening.
Yesterday is soon to be
Washed away behind me.

Rain...Wash away these stains
And all this pain.
Wind...blow through my skin,
And rip away...all I've been.
