Rambles Of A Shop Window Dummy - Poem by Junk Talk Poet

We three kings of suburban Jack are witness to the struggle,
The stench of unemployment as vivid as the rain.
A drunken stumble, a hop and jump
A low born man searches the bins
To educate his weak and feeble mind.
A woman cloaked, choking on the smoke of an
Industrial town, fumbles her pockets and spills
Her weekly copper onto the street.
Like battery reared hens they launch from
Their seats as they swarm and bite,
Shovelling a Friday night into their hands.
Just an average urban feature
Please could someone breathe life
Into this creature.
