Read My Heart - Poem by Ashizzle 1428

How do I begin?
Where do I start?
So much pain and anger
Fill up my heart.
Words I can’t find,
Words I can’t say,
Don’t think I’ll understand this,
At least not today.
I’m confused and lost,
But He’s paid the cost,
I’m lonely,
I’m hurt,
My brain’s not alert.

Do I have an earthly father?
Reach for him to care
Why should I bother?
He’s hardly there,
Even tho he cares,
Why am I,
Trying to make this work?

My brain’s going to pop,
All this crap just won’t stop!
I’m hurting,
I’m scared,
God, are you there?
Everything’s changing,
My life’s rearranging,
I’m putting You first
But Lord, my mind’s going to burst!

Can’t I just stop to breathe?

It’s all jumbled up,
Messed up,
Screwed up,
Floating around my head,
I don’t know how to form words
So instead…
Read my heart.
