Relationship Strives - Poem by Rushawn Buchanan

slayed by the dream of you defeating the dragon that spits fire against our relationship,
inflated with love that you breathe
then carbon comes out and forms me a diamond,
a diamond used to form our eternal bond,
it sparkles and its got me hypnotized,
and has me moving to the beat of your drum,
this you used to beat every ounce of resistance out of me.
when our lips collide and we kiss, it makes my heart speed and skip a beat,
the ardenoline rush increases my heart beat,
so then pressure releases, and brings me to my knees
then they see that we are meant to be,
because who else could do this to me?
the blood of you flows through my brain,
and the jones for you in my viens,
i hope all my feeling for you can be sustained.
