Relieved Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Relieved

Rating: 5.0

I often wondered,
Why it was natural!
And there it was...
The evidence!
I felt relieved.
Almost vindicated.
There I was posing...
As a baby,
In pictures.
With my foot in my mouth!
I knew I did it with such ease.
Now I don't have to make excuses.
It's something I've been accustomed to doing...
All my life!

I just read this again, and it's funny how the mind works because I just got a completely different take on this then I did the first time I read it. All the best, Diane

You should have business cards made up of this baby pic titled 'sorry, no excuse', next time foot is inserted in mouth just hand them the card....lol......but I'm sure it dosen't happen to often. Enjoyed this Lawrence. All the best, Diane
