Remember - Poem by Mowie DeCorp

The voices of sorrow

And the pains of my cries

Bring back the memories

Of two very young lives

We were two very good friends

As close as can possibly be

What more can I ask for

I had everything I ever wanted to see

Times were great

Nothing could have been better

We were brought together by fate

I’m so glad I had met her

Suddenly one night

Their lives drastically changed

They got into a fight

And the friendship changed with a bang

She said she would not hurt me

She knew how I had felt

The truth was not meant to be

When my heart suddenly began to melt

She told me a lie

She pained me so much

I had no choice but to say goodbye

Even though I’d miss her a bunch

I tried to forgive her

For all the hurt and pain

I had opened up a new door

But there wasn’t anything to gain

I gave up the happiness

I gave up the love

To find a new emptiness

Sent from the Man up above

The voices of sorrow

And the pains of my cries

Bring back the memories

Of two very young lives
