Assailed in peril and violence,
Battle fought with great valor.
Brought forth peace and accordance,
Grand and mighty strength of soldiers,
A magnitude of bloodshed,
Aftermath of despair.
Whence their loved ones’ fate rest,
Destruction, we must repair.
Fathers, brothers and sons, we mourn,
We chant a tune of requiem.
Wives, sisters and daughters, forlorn,
Solemnly, grasp their altruism.
Hence somber days of sorrow,
May their souls rise heavenward.
And God, shall cease dreadful tomorrows,
Invulnerable, in his ward.
An end to ambivalent dispute.
Gloriously conquered victory,
Our patriotism to G.I.s, we salute.
Perseverance prevailed unity.
