Reminisce - Poem by Tammy Cheung
The sound of the guitar breaks through the stillness
Like waves rippling across the lagoon
Here I sit here feeling aimless
On another hot Saturday afternoon
Remember gazing at the starry skies at night
Everything was going alright
The occasional cry of the mockingbirds
Gave me a calmness beyond any words
Remember the breeze, how it had swept
All my worries and secrets I had kept
The sunlight overhead so bright
Like the smiles on people's faces in sight
The sound of the guitar echos through my mind
Someday, somewhere I will find
The place that I truly belong
And my heart will be filled with its song
