Reminiscence

Standing by the captivating sea-side,
My memories flew down the time tide.
Staring down the depth of the sea
And up the height of the sky,
A tear trickled down my right eye.

Mesmerized in the flood of remembrance,
I feel again her sweetly-comforting presence.
Along the stupendous stretch of sand,
I feel again the same gentle stroke of her hand.

Fascinated by the glistening beam of moonlight,
I envisage again, her pleasing and ravishing sight.
Enchanted, captivated, going down the vista of years,
I feel gripped again by the same deadly fears.

Appalled by the thunderous clouds over the sea,
I feel again, the same dark shadow of grief over me.
Startled by the sudden rumbling over the tranquil sea,
I feel her again, slipping away from me.

Lonely, again I stand,
Staring at the stupendous stretch of sand.
Debarred from all feelings of love and hate,
Just pondering over my destined fate.
